Pay Registered
Nurses
normally get paid anywhere from $21 to $50 per hour. LPN's average
between $17 to $30 per hour. The traveling nurses pay and

your paychecks. Travel

travel nurse, you will be offered an apartment, condominium and
sometimes a motel room for your contract (the motel room isn't very

you refer another nurse to a travel agency and they sign up and
complete their first contract you receive a referral bonus.
These
bonuses range from $500 to $1500 usually. This is a nice addition to
your travel nursing pay. Incentive
Programs Most
agencies offer incentive programs to keep you with them. Some
may
offer cash pay, discounts for different items you
use or
a free trip someplace for a vacation after working so many contracts. Completion Bonuses The
completion bonus will increase the travel nursing pay and this is what
a lot of nurses really look forward to. This can
range
anywhere from $500 to
$12,000 and sometimes higher.
Extension Bonus and Loyalty Bonus If
a contract is extended for another contract there is usually a nice
bonus paid to you. A loyalty Bonus is usually offered if you
have
completed at least three assignments with an agency.
Double Overtime Some
companies will offer double overtime while others offer time and a half
for overtime.
Licensure Reimbursement This
is another incentive benefit most travel agencies offer. The
agency will also help you in obtaining the license from the state or
states you choose to work in.
AAA Membership Different
agencies offer a variety of incentives and roadside assistance is
another for the travel nurse who drives. This membership also
gives the nurse discounts on different attractions, rental vehicles,
hotels, detailed maps and more.
CEU Reimbursement Continuing education is
important to keep up and most travel agencies cover this expense also. Guaranteed
Pay This
plan covers you in the event a shift gets canceled. You will
still be paid for that shift. The majority of nursing agencies
have this plan. They want to make sure you are happy and get
your
pay if something happens with the shift. Orientation is also
covered as full pay.
Liability Insurance &
Worker's
Comp Insurance Most travel agencies
provide liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance and
malpractice insurance. There are many incentives and
benefits in travel nursing pay.
